Pamela Anderson and Lindsay Lohan on Sarah Palin: The think tank has surfaced.

Riding on Guest Defenestrator Max Ross' shirttails, I am featuring myself as this week's Guest. Thanks for your hospitality, Rich.

Last week it was reported that Pamela Anderson emphatically said of Sarah Palin, "I can't stand her. She can suck it." And there's video, complete with exaggerated eye-rolling, to prove it. Her gripe with Palin has less to do with the Alaska Governor's stance on reproductive rights or foreign policy, more to do with her love of bearskin rugs. Anderson, the PETA spokesperson (unsurprisingly) unafraid of posing nearly-nude for her cause, has long been an advocate for animals' rights. And Palin's recent Newsweek spread has her proudly posed beside a bearskin-draped couch. Tsk, tsk. This comes in the wake of Matt Damon recently referring to Palin as "a really bad Disney movie," and countless Photoshopped pictures of Palin and her patriotic bikini.

Just yesterday Lindsay Lohan proclaimed for all her MySpace-reading fans that Palin is a "narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe." Her complete rant/ stance is far wordier, but gets muddled, what with the lack of punctuation, random capitalization, excess of ellipses... ... Nevertheless, she is momentarily taking the focus off her coke-addled boobs, and using what star-power still remains to endorse, you guessed it, Barack Obama. And this, in the wake of slightly-more-talented Scarlett Johansson's Obama endorsement/ emailing debacle. "I totally email with him, like personally." "No, she doesn't." "Well, whatever. I'm still totally voting for him, and you should too!"

This battle of the stars has reached epic, ethereal heights. What's-her-face Heidi Montag has gone on record as an ardent McCain supporter, much to his bewilderment. McCain tried to convince the (by sheer default) younger voting masses that he's totally hip, watches her on The Hills 24-7. And Paris Hilton was recently referenced in a McCain ad, to the disapproval of her campaign fund-donating parents.

While not a one of these stars is famous for his brain-power (although no one can argue the screenplay success of Good Will Hunting, and Scarlett Johansson is director Woody Allen's latest muse), each is using the tools that come fully-stocked in their Hollywood arsenals: MySpace blogs, televised interviews, the paparazzi full-court press, and the adoring fanbase clinging to their every utterance. Who's to say these endorsements hold any less water than those propagated by more revered "experts"? Just this morning those experts, specifically CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent and Face the Nation commentator Bob Scheiffer, said that Palin did "just fine" in her recent interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson. If "just fine" is what we're looking for in a potential President, we have suddenly, en masse, so lowered our expectations for this country that Photoshopped bikini pictures may be this ticket's very apex.

Deez shirttails wuz made for riding (writing?). addendum -- chevy chase wants in on the action: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,423126,00.html
And sadly, we get more substantive viewpoints from Lohan's commentary than we do most of the candidates' advertising.

I'm just waiting for Pauly Shore to weigh in.
Interesting. Although incorporating Chevy or Pauly into the boob-to-boob header image may have distanced some potential readers? Am I way off here?
Oh no. Boob on boob action is the way to go.

Unless you could somehow trap Pauly in the aforementioned bounteous cleavage.
Lowered expectations: its the only reason i can still read the Rake's "Cracking Spines" by Max Ross (http://www.rakemag.com/blogs/cracking-spine). I mean, the man used to stand for something.
I would like to clarify my above statement: Max Ross and his writing used to be bad (elitist, uncomfortably bad jokes, unflinching plagiarism), but only through my new found lower standards am I able to still read the poodussy of words that is now "Cracking Spines".
get your own name, m2
Before you go dissing Matt Damon's intelligence: 1. He hasn't been in a bad Disney movie. That was Emilio Estevez. 2. He did write Good Will Hunting, which was a pretty good movie, and better than Juno, which also won an Oscar for its writer, who promptly spent her royalty check on larger boobs. 3. He dropped out of Harvard, which prevented him from being a typical Harvard douche who can't ever talk to anyone for more than two minutes without letting you know he went to Harvard
I love me some Matt Damon. 1. I never said HE was in a bad Disney flick, rather that he said Palin was like one herself. 2. Good Will Hunting=infinitely better than Juno. 3. I don't like Harvard douches either.
This is so dang funny and well written. Kudos, Ms.Yablonski. If experts can say that Palin did fine (though she did not and we really need better than fine) w/ Charlie Gibson, then maybe we should start to listen to people like Ms. Lohan. Another option is to just ignore the so called experts and the clueless celebs and go with our gut.
who gives a crap what hollywood stars say! they live in a different world than us who have real jobs. Palin is a real person and stands up for what she believes in. I hope McCain and Palin Win!!!! God Bless America!
She does indeed stand for what she believes in. I'd imagine that's what people have a problem with. She seems to believe in a lot of things that many "real people" take issue with.
Jill, Where the hell do you get all these cool photos? I thought the RNC pics were pretty good, but between the porno Miss Piggy photos and these 'star studded belles' I can't decide! Coincidentally, I was looking at their beautiful eyes. Nothing else. I swear.
Lohan is a confused crackwhore who can't even get her life together let alone give someone advice or suggestions. She needs to get it together first before telling someone off..I would personally like to tell her to "suck it", something she's probably been doing herself.
