Call for Artists @ Premier Gallery
In September 2008, Minneapolis will host the Republican National
Convention and its delegates from across the U.S. While the work of the
delegates will focus on nominating a presidential candidate, Premier
Gallery will focus on bringing elements of art to this event.
Held simultaneously with the convention, Genus elephas
is open to professional visual artists and will explore the imagery of
the elephant and the human fixation with elephant-inspired art.
Artwork(s) for the exhibition (July through September 2008) will be
selected by a jury of museum specialists. Prizes of $300 each will be
awarded to three artists as special recognition of their work. See rules and entry form.
Entry deadline: June 20th, 2008, at 1 p.m.
